Lehigh Regional Medical Center & Associates Provide 26 Turkeys with Baskets Full of Dinner Supplies for Lehigh Community Services to Distribute to Local Families in Need

LEHIGH ACRES, FL (November 21, 2012) – Once again this year Lehigh Regional Medical Center provided twenty six turkeys, and the associates from the hospital departments filled twenty six baskets with all the supplies and fixings needed for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, to offer local families in need the opportunity to celebrate the holiday, and enjoy a great meal.

This partnership with the hospital and Lehigh Community Services (LCS) has become an annual tradition. Lehigh Regional and the associates provide the turkeys and baskets, and Lehigh Community Services selects those families who are in the greatest need to collect their gift from the hospital on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

In an email from Rae Nicely, LCS Executive Director, to Lehigh Regional she said “You are the best. I wanted to let you know that 3 of the people who got baskets called and one was crying – they all were so pleased with their basket.  Thank you so much for all LRMC does for LCS!!!”
