Surgery Medical ServicesServices

LRMC has a full service surgical unit and an expert surgical team that uses the latest and most advanced techniques.  While you are in surgery, family members should remain in the Surgical Waiting Room (located on the first floor -- see map located in Patients - When You Arrive, and Visiting sections) because the surgeon usually meets the family there after surgery to advise them of the patient's condition.

Our surgeons specialize in open surgery and Advance Minimally Invasive Surgeries, including the Single Port Access Surgery.  This technique enables the doctor to perform gallbladder, appendix and colon procedures with just one incision (usually in the belly button) with better cosmetic results than conventional surgeries.

Outpatient surgery allows you to have your surgery, recover and go home the same day.  Our outpatient staff also see patients for diagnostic testing that you will need before admission which includes radiology, cardiopulmonary and lab tests.  The pre-op nurse is located on the first floor.
