A patient's physician has prescribed a diet plan especially for that patient.  The diet plan may be for a special or "restricted" diet.  Additionally, before certain tests and procedures, the patient may not be allowed to eat or drink for a period of time.  Unless a patient is on a liquid or pureed diet, they will receive a menu on their breakfast tray each morning from which to select their meals for the next day.  Patients can also speak to the diet office by calling extension 4452.  Additionally, patients can speak to a dietitian by letting their nurse know.  Meal trays are delivered at the following (approximate) times unless ordered by the physician:

Breafast - 8 am
Lunch - 12 noon
