Lehigh Regional Medical Center announces its new Asthma Management Program

Lehigh Regional Medical Center, located in Lehigh Acres, has expanded its Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program to include an Asthma Management Program provided by Cardiopulmonary Services under the direction of Pulmonologists Imtiaz Ahmad, MD and Lazaro Bravo, MD.

Lehigh Regional Medical Center’s Asthma Management Program is physician directed and provides a personal treatment plan. The program provides diagnostic testing, therapeutic exercises, medications and education training for patients five years of age and up. It doesn’t just help the patient live with Asthma, but actually promotes recovery.

The program’s goal is to help patients know what to do before, during, and after an Asthma attack.   Also, patients will see improvement in their quality of life and be more active.

The Asthma Management Program patients at Lehigh Regional Medical Center are guided and instructed by Licensed Respiratory Therapist, Tracylee Droomer, CRT.  The program is supervised by Cardiopulmonary Services Director, Thomas Campo RRT/NPS, who is a Licensed Respiratory Therapist and a Neonatal & Pediatric Specialist (NPS).

The primary physician is continually updated as to their patient’s progress whenever they are engaged in the program, which is routinely covered by most insurance carriers.

Lehigh Regional Medical Center’s CEO, Chris Rakunas, said: “I am excited about offering a new service to the Southwest Florida residents. We are blessed with the opportunity to provide our patients and community with yet another much needed service.”

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is located in Lehigh Acres at 1530 Lee Blvd, second floor.  For more information, please call 239-303-0495 or visit the hospital’s website www.lehighregional.com
