Job Description
Provides direct care to patients on an assigned unit using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Functions and performs all technical aspects of nursing care within the framework of established policies and procedures of Lehigh Regional Medical Center. Responsible for managing care of assigned patients and guiding and directing the activities of ancillary staff. May function as charge nurse. This position will be for 8 hour coverage with call and duties include care of the OR.
Requirements
Must be a graduate of a school of nursing and be currently licensed as a registered nurse by the Florida Board of Nursing. Must have accurate and reasonable speed in performance of functions. Maintenance of knowledge of correct practices - exhibits good physical and emotional health. Shall behave in accordance with the code of ethics of the Nursing Profession. The Staff Nurse shall have knowledge of nursing theory and techniques and possess integrity, initiative, and flexibility. One to two years previous experience in a surgical environment preferred.
